All about us

Class three at Wilberlee is a mixture of pupils from Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6. We are an amazing team who really enjoy learning together. We love our individual characteristics and personalities and everyone makes our class team and class a brilliant place to be. Working with three different year groups gives us many opportunities to recap and revisit past learning but also pushes and challenges us forward as we are exposed to rich new language and opportunties as we progress through the year groups.

Our teachers are Miss Crowther and Mrs Wood.  Miss Crowther is also the Deputy Headteacher at the school. Please check out our class timetable here to find out more about when we are learning about what and who is working within our classroom.

Our teaching assistants are Ms Holroyd, Mrs Bradley, Mrs Hartley and Miss Hofman also work in our classroom every day and a specialised P.E, teacher is here to teach our PE sessions on a Wednesday afternoon.

If you would like anymore information about our class please do not hesistate in getting in touch via the school office. office.wilberlee@kirkleeseducation.uk

This term Class Three are studying the Space Race. We are currently reading Hidden Figures and we are really enjoying learning about the determination of four young mathematicians who fought to work for NASA in post war America. We have an exciting design technology activity planned, building a space probe as well as topic based learning that is really going to enhance our knowledge surrouding this exciting topic!

Please take a look at our Class 3 currciulum newsletter here to find out more about what we will be learning this half term.

Learning is important across a child's life and therefore we ask that children complete little jobs and tasks at home. Each week children will be given a learning homework task that reflects the learning that we have completed at school; this may be maths/ literacy or topic related. There is an expectation that this is completed and returned to school.

Have a look at the 'Welcome to Class Three Booklet' below which will give you a range of information all about life in Class 3.

We must ensure that reading takes place, we learn our times tables, and we learn any spellings that we may be given. .

Reading lots is always important and it is also important that we write what we have read in our reading records. Remember that we have the top 50 books to read before you leave Class Three! The document is in your reading record but can also be found below.
