School Council

We have a dedicated School Council at Wilberlee who are committed to making a difference.  A democratic, secret ballot is held each year upholding the tradition of our parliamentary elections.  Every child has a vote from Reception to Year 6 to elect a child from each of the year groups to proudly represent our School Council.

Our School Councillors regularly hold fundraising events to support School projects and in the wider community fundraise for the Welcome Centre, who are an independent food bank in Huddersfield. Other important roles are supporting the Senior Leadership Team when recruiting new teaching staff, meeting with Ofsted and other visitors e.g. school Governors, our MP and the Deputy Mayor.

Wilberlee School Council meet every Tuesday and each year have the opportunity to network with the School Councils from Clough Head and Wellhouse who are also part of the Heights Federation.
